After soaking up the sun at Hahei Beach and visiting the boutique shops, cafe and restaurants in the Village, are you keen for a little more exercise and adventure?
How about a 10 minute cycle across private farmland on the Cathedral Cove Gateway Track? Our new Bighorn trail bikes make this a super fun experience, and can get you to within a short 7 minute walk to world renowned Cathedral Cove! Cycle a bit further to explore our surrounding beach communities, experience spectacular coastal scenery and take your pick of multiple great eateries dotted along our pristine coastline.
Our eBikes are simple to operate and the powerful Electric Assist makes easy work of hills and gradients, regardless of your fitness level.
It's an epic way to tour our gorgeous piece of Paradise and immerse yourself in the scenery- literally at your own pace!
Advance bookings are highly recommended to secure your ride.
Explore Hahei and it's gorgeous neighbouring beach communities on an environmentally friendly electric bike.
Visit the shops, galleries and eateries of Hahei Village. Take a scenic ride past bush and farmland up gorgeous Lees Road to Stella Evered Scenic Reserve.
Follow the hidden detour on our map to Hot Water Beach at low tide, borrow one of our collapsible shovels and dig yourself a private spa pool to soak in the natural hot springs.
Explore Cooks Beach, Flaxmill Bay and Shakespeare Historical Reserve. Immerse yourself in the stunning views and history of our beautiful Mercury Bays at Shakespeare Cliff Lookout (recommended for experienced riders only).
Cruise to Ferry Landing then ferry the bikes across to Whitianga for shopping, pampering at the Lost Springs Spa, or take a scenic ride along gorgeous Buffalo Beach.

We have two styles and three sizes of eBike available.
We also offer great daily rates on standard kids bikes (ages 7+) for use at private holiday homes or our local Resorts.
Bike Hire Prices
Two hour minimum hire period. Check out our Special Rates - The longer you explore, the more cost effective it is!
eBIKE HIRE:
Casual Hourly rate $30 per hour
Special Rates:
Half Day (Up to 4 hrs) $100
Day Hire (Up to 6 hrs) $150
STANDARD (NON-ELECTRIC) KIDS BIKE HIRE:
Bike sizes suitable for ages 7 - 14
Casual Hourly rate $15 per hour
Day Hire (Up to 7 hrs) $50
NOTE: Hahei does NOT have dedicated cycle paths. It is the parents' responsibility to ensure their children have a safe area in which to ride.
* Final return time for ALL hires is 7pm

Our bikes are powerful and our roads can be extremely busy, particularly during the summer months.

We highly recommend this eBike rental from John and Lisa. They were wonderful - easy to communicate with and super helpful. They provided everything that we needed, from operating instructions and ideas of where to go, to all of the essentials like helmets, backpack, locks and even collapsible shovels for our visit to Hot Water Beach. We did an all day bike rental and had an absolute blast! The area is gorgeous and making the journey to each location part of the adventure just elevated the experience. Being from the States I was a little worried about being on the roads. This lasted for the first few minutes and then it felt natural, Just remember 'mirror stays in the middle!' The owners were very responsive and fun, and the bikes made me feel 10 again!

My husband and I had the time of our lives! Incredible customer service - such down to earth and informative owners who did a great job at instructing us on how to use the bikes and where to go! You get a backpack to hold your belongings and the bikes have a secure phone holder. This was really handy for using our GPS to get to places! It was such a thrill riding from Hahei to Mercury Bay Estate Vineyard in Cooks Beach, Hot Water Beach and the Hive. A great way to have fun outdoors!

Amazing service, very helpful and informative. Ebikes are such good fun, we had a fantastic day! Managed to cover 48km during the day with plenty of stops and power left in the battery. Saddle pannier and collapsible shovel for Hot Water Beach provided. All in all a very positive experience. Would highly recommend!
